Wexford Creamery

The story of Wexford Creamery began in 1959 when a group of dairy farmers and a German entrepreneur, Herr Hoevelmeyer, founded the Edelweiss Cheese Company in Wexford, Ireland, the forerunner of what became Wexford Creamery. Since then, it has been producing milk, cream, and award-winning cheese in the heart of Wexford, with a passion for delivering the best-tasting products from the finest local dairy farmers.

The creamery has grown steadily over the decades, modernizing its plant and expanding its farmer network, with more than half of Wexford dairy farmers now supplying milk exclusively to Wexford Creamery. Today it is an international business operating across Europe, North America, and the Far East, while remaining deeply rooted in the local Wexford community. It is owned under the Tirlan group.
