Muratbey entered the cheese industry with a small shop in Eminonu in 1965 and opened its first production plant in 1992. Today it is a major Turkish dairy brand known for blending traditional flavors with modern technology. According to Nielsen data, Muratbey became the leading brand in the Special Cheeses category in Turkey, with a tonnage share more than double that of its closest competitor.
The company opened to foreign markets in 2008 and received trademark registrations in approximately 60 countries by 2014, exporting to markets across the USA, EU, Turkish Republics, Middle East, Japan, and Cyprus, making it the only Turkish brand to export cheese to EU countries. With over 300 products, Muratbey reaches more than 50,000 sales points in Turkey and across 5 continents. Its dairy plant spans 35,000 square meters with a milk processing capacity of 700 tons per day and employs nearly 400 people. The company is also a member of the Sustainable Food Platform and maintains a commitment to energy efficiency and zero chemical waste in production.
